WATCH BASICS OF PHOTOSHOP

hello guys, welcome to the complete guide to adobe photoshop. today i am going through the basics of photoshop.

my aim is to give a complete free course for the photoshop beginners from the beginning to till the
end.

so trust me guys , when you completed this course you will be able to use the photoshop like a pro.
here i am using adobe photoshop cs6 2016.

#PART 1

so let us look on the first part of this course.
it includes
1.1) Interface
1.2) creating a project
1.3) opening a photo
1.4) and the Layers

1.1) Interface

when you opened the photoshop you will see title bar on the top of the window

• just below that menu bar is present 
• just below to menu bar there will be tool option bar
• left side to the window you can see tool box and the and the right  side you will see palette box.
• inside the palette box you will see color panel, adjustment panel and the layer panel.

basically this is the defualt workplace for photoshop. if it is not like this in your computer
we can bring it to defualt by going to window > workplace > and click on the essentials.

1.2) Create a project

to create a project in photoshop go to file > new
you can easily do it by pressing ctrl & N together.
next step is to set up the settings of this project.
we can give name to this project.
we can choose width and height of this project. make sure that it's measurement is in pixels.
you can choose background content as colour or transperent.
this much settings enough to start a basic project in photoshop.then click on ok.

1.3) Import/open a photo

to bring a photo in to photoshop project there are two ways.

1. one is opening a photo by going to file > open and choose your photo then click on open.

you can do it easily by pressing CTRL+O together.
when you opened this photo it will come as a another project. it won't place to the our project.
so what we have to do is by using MOVE tool click and drag the photo in to our project.

2. another way is by going to file > place and select the photo you want and click on place.



1.4) Layers

layer is the main thing one have to understand to work with photoshop. so i will show you
the layer tricks by step by step.

• step one is to unlock backgroung layer

so in this layer pan you can see a layer named with background.at the right side of this layer
a lock symbol is present, it indicating that this layer is restricted from certain functions of
photoshop. so inorder to gain those functions just double click on the layer with the right mouse
button and click on ok.

• step 2 is Add a new layer

to add a new layer go to layer on the menu bar  > new and click on layer. you can also do it by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + N together

• step 3 is how we can duplicate a layer

before start working with the layers , always duplicate the layers because as we are working on a
duplicated layer the original layer will not get any changes.
so to duplicate this photo layer first we should make sure that the same layer is selected in layer panel
then goto layer and click on duplicate layer. so this layer is duplicated. you do it easily by pressing CTRL+J

• step 4 is the Text layer

Press letter “T” on your keyboard or the “T” symbol in the tool bar to bring up the text tool. click on the background
so a text box will appear where you can write your text. after writing click on the check mark located on the TOOL OPTION BAR.
this text layer you can edit any time. if ther is any spelling mistake you can select this text tool and click on this text so we can edit it.

• Step 5 is arrangement of layer

if you want to make a good layer composition for your project , you must understand how the layers should be arranged.
if not some layer parts won't be visible.  it is very easy to understand a layer arrangement. upper layer will be always shown superfical to
all the layers. lower layers will be beneath the upper layer and it can be hidden by the upper layer.
so what we should do to make lower layer visible is adjusting the position and the adjusting the opacity of photo.
you can adjust the position by using move tool and we will move this layer to a position where it can be visible.
but in some condition it is not possible so will adjust with opacity of upper layer.
so what we are going to do is select the upper layer first. ok .  at top of the layer panel you will see opacity option just
reduce . so lower layer will be visible.
